About Our Social Strategy Team

The Social Strategy team pulls together the different experts in Klick and aligns them on successful solutions on social media platforms. We help our clients get the best results possible by using our deep relationships inside the world’s largest social networks, our unparalleled industry competitive intelligence, and our years of experience with audiences on these sometimes raucous platforms. Our team spans the entire social process from insight activities through social listening, to strategic direction and planning, then to content development, and finally deep into community management.

Role Summary

The Director, Social Media ensures the efficient operation of teams under his or her influence and ensures delivery of work in a way that drives client satisfaction and Klick success. 

Key Accountabilities

People First

The social strategist is working alongside Paid Social (media), Activation Strategy, Creative, PM, and CS. All team members are respected and the team works to keep all disciplines in the loop and at efficient workloads.

All social team members are expected to bring forward new ideas for our internal tools, external tools, and work processes.

Playing the Long Game

Klick works to ensure we are staffed for the long term so team members help one another when necessary to share the load. 

Outcomes over Optics

Social plans are created as part of activation strategy. 

Hacker Roots

Social strategists are always looking at the new platforms to determine how they may benefit our clients’ campaigns.

Key Requirements

Industry knowledge and best practices

- Assist in creating industry-leading POVs referenced by others

- Attend industry conferences and bring back reports on unique pharma social issues

Social campaign strategic planning 

- Assist CST teams in creating campaign plans

-Promote the social team as an indispensable member that needs to be consulted during project initiation 

Team and client education

- Educate internal teams on new social tactics

- Educate client groups on new social tactics

New business, external

- Build CS and BD relationships to be seen as social expert 

- Present capes, plans, and options to new clients to drive excitement in Klick offerings

- Promote social best practices in the industry

Team growth

- Ensures team members are adequately coached

Social campaign strategic planning 

- Expanding tactics from expected best practice to novel solutions

- Manage team creating plans for multiple clients

Social content creation and validation

- Seek out and find benchmarks external to Klick clients for comparison and best practice 

Team and client education

- Develop new social opportunities by developing from scratch or finding examples in market

- Investigate and implement relevant activities on new platforms to pharma

- Grow industry connections and leverage external knowledge to help Klick teams
